The 2010 International Workshop on
Multimedia Technologies on Multi-Core Embedded Platform
(MMEP 2010) will be held in conjunction with The 5th International Conference on Embedded and Multimedia Computing (EMC-10), August 11-13, 2010, Cebu, Philippines.
Due to the evolution of video coding technology and the development of embedded systems, the scope of multimedia systems can be expanded to mobile devices by integrating with embedded technology. Thus, computation becomes a critical design especially in multimedia applications. In recent years, the multi-core architecture with lower frequency is proposed to achieve the same performance with single core with high frequency. With the increasing penetration rate and expansion of multimedia embedded system using the multi-core technologies, new challenges and applications are growing bigger and more complex, including multimedia system, computing, compression technologies and applications on embedded multi-core platforms and so on.
This workshop is intended to provide a forum for presenting, exchanging and discussing the most recent advances in different aspects of integrating multi-core embedded platform with emerging multimedia technologies.
